Welcome to Nurture, a retreat and getaway in Costa Rica.
This retreat container is dedicated to bolstering and supporting you in ways that lovingly help you grow, evolve, and heal. Nurture, for me, means to TEND to. Tend to your health, well-being, body, and mind. This retreat aims to create an environment where you feel nurtured. Join us for 7 days and 6 nights in an incredible resort nestled in the jungle with ocean views. Think of this retreat as a fertilizer for your body, mind, and spirit.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
​You can expect three meals a day prepared by culinary experts. The resort will just be hosting our retreat cohort; no other party will be with us; we have the resort all to ourselves. We will be offering possible excursions, such as a Cacao Ceremony performed by locals, a Costa Rican Coffee Experience, a trip to the Secret Waterfall, and/or a trip to Bahia Ballena Beach.
You can expect lots of free time to sit by the pool, relax and reflect. There are spa services available in the resort spa. The resort has all of the yoga props we will need. There will be yoga/movement/meditation 90-120 minute sessions twice daily on most days. Excursions days we may only meet once.
Please expect to arrive the day before the retreat, Saturday, June 7th. Transportation will be provided to the resort on the morning of the 14th. It is a four-hour drive to the resort from the airport.

AUSTEEN HEENEY

Austeen is the founder and owner of Free To Be Yoga and Massage LLC. She has built and supported a brick and morter in Adrian, MI where wellness service providers share their expert craft with clients. She specializes in teaching Vinyasa, Yin, Tender, and Sports Yoga. Her passion for teaching and coaxing students back to their bodies and creating a life soulfully and uniquely lived, is the foundation of all of her teachings. Be it as a licensed Athletic Trainer, Massage Therapist, Thai Fusion Bodyworker or Yoga Teacher, her obsession with conscious movement; how to create it, how it will change and deepen your life by assisting you in creating RELATIONSHIP with your body has helped many people to feel and live the way they truly desire. She teaches this conscious movement through yoga, yoga retreats, workshops, group coaching, immersions and trainings. Austeen dedicates her life to living alongside her core values and the holistic health and well-being of those around her, including herself. Her raw and honest presence comes from deep within the uncharted territories of her own mind. Austeen has her Master’s degree in Athletic Training through Adrian College, her license in Massage Therapy through Irenes myomassology institute, she is a certified Thai Fusion stretcha practitioner, as well as a 200 E-RYT, 500 RYT and YACEP through Yoga Alliance. Austeen leads and teaches principles of assisting continue education for yoga teachers. With a decade of experience, she knows that she doesn’t have all the answers but she also knows that YOU do, within yourself. Her passion is to guide you to get to know those answers for yourself. Austeen is a passionate weight lifter, yoga practioner, hiker and backpacker. She creates and shares poetry and always has her head in a book. She currently resides in Michigan with her husband.
