One of the most beautiful things about Yoga is that it transcends dogma, tenets and paradigms. Or rather, belief systems that are valued by individuals can all fit in the same sweaty room, each co-existing upon their own sticky rectangular piece of personal real estate. Together. That’s kinda the point, actually. Yoga means “to yoke,” to bring together and unite. People, breath, community and nation. Yoga doesn’t ask that you give up anything other than, perhaps, your own destructive or unfavorable judgments and habits. What a wonderful world it will be when this all-encompassing practice of acceptance becomes a micro for the macro.
